Dr. Klink provides leadership and direction for the 13 departments and six administrative units in the division. He oversees a budget of almost $70 million, more than 250 talented student affairs professionals, more than 900 student employees, and numerous facilities. He assists his team in creating and maintaining a student centered campus environment focused on learning, safety, wellness, inclusive excellence and holistic growth.
Dr. Klink has more than three decades of experience as a student affairs professional. Dr. Klink was name Vice Provost for Student Affairs in September 2016 after having served as the Interim Vice Provost for Student Affairs for almost two years. Dr. Klink is a psychologist by training and has worked previously at Goshen College and The Ohio State University. Dr. Klink received both his M.A. in Counseling and Guidance and Ph.D. in Psychology from The Ohio State University.
Dr. Klink reports to Dr. Gail Hackett, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, who serves as a member of the executive leadership team of the university president. Dr. Klink is a member of the President’s Senior Leadership Team, the Provost’s Senior Leadership Team, the Council of Deans, University Council, the Enterprise Risk Management Steering Committee, the Title IX Steering Committee, the University Budget Advisory Committee and many other university committees.
